I never realized how certain words could be so hurtful

So I apologize to all those I have so gravely offended

I regret what I uttered and admit that it was distasteful

I ask for forgiveness of all those who were affected

My indiscretion has tarnished my career and reputation

I beg pardon of loved ones for my behavior was awful

I aspire to do better after scrupulous self-reflection

I accept my behavior was unbecoming of a public figure

Yet it doesn't excuse you to harass and be so hateful

I am sorry that this apology is a product of cancel culture

The vernal season approaches Bearing new lives, In spring, a flower blooms  And an infant thrives. It lives its life with  Such hope and ambition, So eager to grow up  And then the seasons turn. Adulthood ensues with  A burning passion to conquer, Heat waves of struggle  Announce the arrival of summer. Endless avenues to explore  And chances to be taken but, The prime of life is lost  In search of warmth and comfort. Blissful rain then soothes  The shame of failures and sin Of youth as the monsoon  Washes away the fire within.
