SEASONS OF LIFE

The vernal season approaches Bearing new lives, In spring, a flower blooms  And an infant thrives. It lives its life with  Such hope and ambition, So eager to grow up  And then the seasons turn. Adulthood ensues with  A burning passion to conquer, Heat waves of struggle  Announce the arrival of summer. Endless avenues to explore  And chances to be taken but, The prime of life is lost  In search of warmth and comfort. Blissful rain then soothes  The shame of failures and sin Of youth as the monsoon  Washes away the fire within. Livelihood now sound and secure,  Much like personal life, Outside of the occasional rainstorm  Of midlife strife. Once again the biome goes dormant,  Foreboding the end, When comes forth autumn  Which commences the ascend.
